Natural alcohol detergents
Supplier: Davy Process Technology
Application:
- Production of natural alcohol detergents based on production of fatty alcohols from intermediate methyl esters.
Specification:
- Fatty alcohol methyl esters are obtained either by transesterification of vegetable oil with methanol or by esterifiction of fatty acids.
- In order to convert fatty acid into appropriate methyl ester (intermediate substance), company uses its own stable esterification catalyst, placed inside distillation column with innovatory construction, in which chemical reaction is simultaneously taking place. Esters obtained may be directed to hydrogenation, without further treatment.
- This low pressure technology for hydrogenation of fatty methyl esters into fatty alcohols takes place in vapor phase on stationary bed.
- This allows for obtaining high quality product with high efficiency and with low by-product contents.
- License offers production of alcohols with various chain lengths: light C8/C10, medium C12/C14 and long-chain C16/C18.
