Oxo alcohols production technology
Supplier: Davy Process Technology
Application:
- Oxo alcohol production from olefins. This technology is being offered by DTP in colaboration with Dow Chemical Company.
Specification:
- This technology is based on LP Oxo low pressure process (LP) of hydroformylation which is used worldwide for conversion of propylene to alcohol 2-ethylhexanol (2EH, plasticizer) and/or butanols (solvents).
- LP Oxo process is characterized by perfect indicators concerning demand for raw materials and power consumption Process in environmentally friendly and easy to operate.
- Technology offered has been extended to obtaining alcohols with higher molecular weight for production of detergents from olefins obtained from Fischer-Tropsch installation.
- This technology, besides wide use of propylene, has been adapted to converting normal butenes for production of new plasticizer, alcohol 2-propylheptanol (2PH)
